Weight or resistance training is the most effective type of physical activity for women as we enter menopause and beyond to protect our bones, joints, and muscles. It helps reduce symptoms of menopause like sleep, mood, hot flashes and weight gain, and teaches you agility and quickness to prevent falls as you get older. We also need community support as we reach this stage in our lives. I lead you through full body workouts in a group and teach you to accommodate your movement limitations and injuries. I integrate mindfulness into our movement classes to improve results. I coach you to become self-sufficient and listen to your body's wisdom in how often and intensely you exercise. I bridge to other local health and wellbeing partners to round out your holistic health goals, including rest and recovery, healthcare practitioners, health and nutrition coaching, yoga and meditation instructors, healthy food providers, etc.
